Music school: Digital taster lessons on the subject of "early musical education

On April 1, the new courses in the area of "Early Musical Education" of the Music School Bocholt-Isselburg will start. Interested parents and children can take part in free taster sessions in advance in the week from Tuesday, February 1, to Saturday, February 5, 2022, to see without obligation whether the world of music and instruments might be an option for their offspring.

Also this year, due to the pandemic situation, the Music School Bocholt-Isselburg has decided to present the offer of early musical education in the context of digital taster sessions. On April 1, the new courses of early musical education begin in the premises of the Bocholt Music School, in the branch in Isselburg and also decentralized throughout the urban area in Bocholt.

Ideal for children of kindergarten age

"The offer is aimed at children of kindergarten age who will ideally start school in 2024," explains Hildegunde Hagemann, teacher responsible for the elementary area of the Bocholt-Isselburg Music School. The program sensitizes children to music in an age-appropriate way. Movement and dance, singing, speaking and elementary instrumental play promote the musicality of the preschool children. "With this early education program, the music school also strengthens the children's creativity, self-confidence and personality," says Hagemann. The early music education offering is designed to last four semesters.

As part of the digital taster sessions, interested parents and children can now get to know and test the offer on the following dates:

• Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 4:45 p.m.
• Thursday, Feb. 2/3 at 5:45 p.m.
• Friday, Feb. 4 at 4 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
