FW Bocholt: Busy morning for the Bocholt fire brigade
FW Bocholt (ots) -
The Bocholt fire brigade was first called out today to a helpless person behind a locked flat door. Shortly after this call, the second alarm of the morning was issued for the full-time fire brigade.
There was a single-car accident on Zur Eisenhütte. The severely injured driver was carefully extricated from the car by the fire brigade and treated by the ambulance service. Due to the nature of the injuries, the patient was flown to a maximum care hospital in Gelsenkirchen by the rescue helicopter, which was also alerted.
Parallel to the traffic accident, a fire alarm system was activated at a company in the Mussum district. This incident was dealt with by the volunteer fire brigade. The reason for the alarm was a broken sprinkler head of the extinguishing system. The fire brigade was able to remove the sprinkler system and hand it over to the operator.
On the way back from the traffic accident, the fire brigade was called to a retirement home in the Suderwick district. Burnt food on a cooker had triggered the fire alarm system. There was no further damage to property. The fire brigade of Suderwick and the fire brigade of Dinxperlo were also on duty.
In addition to the above-mentioned incidents, the rescue service had already dealt with ten other incidents by 1 pm.
