Art and culture: Pop Up Gallery in the Koppelkerk

Bocholt's neighboring town of Bredevoort (NL) invites German artists to exhibit work

From January 28, 2022, the upper hall (Dutch: bovenzaal) of the Koppelkerk will temporarily become a pop-up gallery. Artists from all genres on both sides of the German-Dutch border are invited to send their works to the Koppelkerk in the Bredevoort district of the neighboring Dutch municipality of Aalten. The organizers there will compile a selection from all the works sent in.

Registration for the Pop Up Gallery runs through the Koppelkerk's website www.koppelkerk.nl/pop-up-galerie until January 17, 2022, where the conditions for registration and requirements for participation in the Pop Up Gallery are also posted.

Wide range of different styles

Where in the upper hall of the Koppelkerk normally the works of one or two artists are shown, the cultural meeting place presents a broad spectrum of different styles at the beginning of 2022. All artistic creators are invited to submit one to three works of maximum 50-70 cm in size. Subject to Corona protection regulations, this exhibition will be on view for four weeks, from Fridays to Sundays.

Exhibition "Tijdspinsels" in the main building

At the same time, the exhibition 'Tijdspinsels' ('Time Braids') by six renowned textile artists will be on display in the Koppelkerk. A guided tour of this exhibition will be offered at 2 and 3 pm each day.

Admission to the Koppelkerk is 6 euros per person, including a cup of coffee or tea. For all who exhibit, admission to the Koppelkerk is free.
