Thinking about retirement at a young age
Lecture for women on retirement provision on Wednesday, 22 November, 7 p.m., Europa-Haus Bocholt // "Pensions can be shaped"
A lecture on old-age and pension provision aimed specifically at women will take place in Bocholt on Wednesday, 22 November. It starts at 7 pm in the Europa-Haus Bocholt (Adenauerallee 59). The Equal Opportunities Officer of the City of Bocholt, Astrid Schupp, invites interested women to attend. Please register by e-mail to the Equal Opportunities Office of the City of Bocholt at gleichstellung(at)bocholt(dot)de . Participation is free of charge.
Women often earn less than men, work more part-time and are more likely to give up their careers to have a family - often with the result: less pension! But how can this cycle be broken? How can women build up their own pension provision?
A specialist speaker will show various ways to achieve statutory pension provision. The effects of parental leave, part-time work and unpaid care work on one's own pension will be examined. What do mini-jobs do to the pension insurance account? What happens to pension entitlements after a divorce? The law on surviving dependants' pensions is also discussed.
The event is part of the "Frau+Beruf" series organised by the municipal equal opportunities officers in the Borken district.
