Cinema Paradiso is the story of an unusual friendship that begins in Italy in the 1940s. The film projectionist Alfredo and the boy Totò (Salvatore) both love the films shown at Cinema Paradiso. At that time, going to the cinema was a special event and at the same time an opportunity to see the whole world from their small village in Sicily. As a young man, Totò leaves Sicily. What happens next is not yet revealed. The film Cinema Paradiso won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 1990.
Part of the "Italian Week"
