Wish list campaign 2024 in Nordstraße

This year, the wish list campaign in Nordstraße in Bocholt is once again taking place for children in need. From Friday, 15 November 2024, wish lists can be selected in the shops Marc O'Polo, Friseur Bocholt Udo Böing, Purzelbaum and Anna - Das bin ich.

Procedure for the wish list campaign

Around 130 wish lists came from children from single-parent families from the Outpatient Educational Assistance, from former residents of the women's shelter in aftercare, from families from the "Betreff Familie im Quartier" programme and families from the "Allgemeine Sozialberatung". All the organisations involved belong to the Caritas Association. The children designed their wish lists themselves or they were painted and cut out with the help of the Caritas Association counsellors - labelled with their name, age and wish. The wish lists are displayed decoratively in the shops, often on Christmas trees, and are available for customers to choose from. Anyone who selects a wish list buys the corresponding gift and hands it in anonymously at the shop. The gifts should not exceed a value of €30. It is appreciated if the giver encloses a personalised card to make the children happy at Christmas.

The gifts are handed over to Caritas shortly before Christmas:

On Tuesday, 17 December, the presents will be officially handed over to Caritas employees at 4 pm at "Anna - das bin ich!" in Nordstraße. Shortly before Christmas, the presents will then be distributed to the families or given to the children at Christmas parties.
