YOUNG UNI in Bocholt: YouTube star at the semester kick-off

This year's "JUNGE UNI Bocholt" (JUBOH) semester kick-off features a YouTube star: Tim Julian Ruster, who has almost 80,000 followers on YouTube as "Astro-Tim," will take participants on a journey through the galaxy.

This year's semester kick-off event of the YOUNG UNI will take place on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 5 pm. Also this year live and in color, but digitally via "Zoom". "Thus, many more children and young people, but also their parents, have the opportunity to get an impression of the JUBOH and its offerings," explains Jennifer Engels of the JUNGEN UNI.

As of today, January 20, 2022, the event can be booked via the JUBOH homepage at www.juboh.de. There one can register, the participation is free. The zoom link for participation will be sent in good time before the start of the event.

YouTuber Ruster

In addition to a greeting from Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff and insights into the upcoming summer semester, there will be a "special guest". The well-known presenter and science YouTuber Tim Julian Ruster will take the participants on a journey through the galaxy. In addition to interesting news about outer space, he will be available to answer questions from participants. "We are very pleased that we were able to win Tim Ruster for our semester opener, especially in view of our current exhibition with and in the Bocholt City Museum on the topic of "Making the adventure of outer space comprehensible," says Jennifer Engels.

From Thursday, January 27, 2022, all interested and motivated young researchers can view the new offer for the summer semester 2022 on the homepage of the JUBOH ( www.juboh.de ) . From then on, students will have one week to pick their favorite courses before registration for the individual courses will be possible on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

The semester itself will start on Monday, February 14, 2022, under the Corona hygiene regulations then in effect.
