Kick-off: Soccer pitch opens in Barlo
Friday, 30 August, from 15:30 at the playground "Große Allee" // Fun, games and sweets
Next Friday, 30 August, the time has come: a football pitch at the "Große Allee" playground in Bocholt's Barlo district will be opened for football.
The small pitch enables children and young people to play football and be active outside of club sports. The measure was decided at the end of last year on the basis of a political application by the youth welfare committee. 90,000 euros were made available.
The pitch is part of the approximately 9,000 square metre leisure facility in the "Große Allee" area. The area offers play and recreation areas with seating and is a popular meeting point in the town. The 20x13 metre soccer field further enhances the playground.
Many guests are expected to attend the official opening at 3.30 pm, including Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff. The most accurate shooter will be determined in a seven-metre shoot-out. Young and old are cordially invited to take part in the inauguration of the football pitch. Snacks, sweets and drinks will be provided.
With this project, the city of Bocholt is making a further contribution to promoting leisure activities for children and young people.
