Hikes
On the Bocholt Hiking Day , you can experience a cross-border hiking experience in combination with the extraordinary castle ambience of the Diepenbrock moated castle in the rural Bocholt district of Barlo all the way to the neighbouring Netherlands.
We walk without competition in a relaxed and peaceful natural setting.
At Bocholt hikes you can choose between three different routes.
-
The
- longest distance of 25 km crosses the border into the Netherlands as a special highlight.
-
The
- 15 km route runs largely on the German side, but also touches the Netherlands and includes longer, straight sections.
-
On
- the 8 km family hike, young hikers can go on a treasure hunt with the Bocholt beech goblin Bokeltje and look forward to a small treasure at the end.
IMPORTANT: All walkers are responsible for their own road safety and that of other road users and should be particularly careful at major road crossings and junctions. The normal traffic and priority rules apply and there will be no road closures for other road users during Bocholt Wandert.
