AASEE FESTIVAL
09 - 11 August 2024 at the Aasee bathing bay in Bocholt
After the first two Aasee festivals were so well received by the people of Bocholt, there will also be an Aasee festival this summer at the bathing bay in Bocholt near Strandcafé Ottilie.
From 9 to 11 August, a free stage and entertainment programme for the whole family will be offered as a holiday highlight. Visitors can look forward to a great summer weekend at one of the most beautiful places in Bocholt and enjoy three days of listening to music, lingering, celebrating, having fun, playing and simply having a good time. Various food trucks, drinks and cocktail stands and the Strandcafé Ottilie will once again be catering for your physical well-being.

ACCESS & PARKING
The car park directly behind the bathing bay on Hohenhorster Straße and the residential area behind it are closed to cars during the Aasee Festival.
Travelling by bike is strongly recommended!
All visitors who have to travel by car are urgently requested to use the car parks around Bocholter Aasee and thus show consideration for the local residents.
The following car parks are available directly at the Aasee:
- At the Aasee Bocholt leisure centre, Hochfeldstraße 56b
- Uhlandstraße 50 at the LWL Museum of Industrial Culture
- Im Königsesch 5 at Mc Donalds
- Im Königsesch 39 at the Kneipp association
- Park & Ride car park Am Ostring
The longest distance from the car park to the bathing bay is a maximum of 1,500m. People with a disabled person's licence or other physical limitations who are dependent on the use of a car are requested to contact the city marketing department in advance.
All bicycles can be parked in the car park directly behind the bathing bay on Hohenhorster Straße. Bicycles may not be parked in the event area directly at the bathing bay or around the Ottilie beach café.
ACCESSIBILITY
Persons who are dependent on a disabled parking space are requested to contact Stadtmarketing Bocholt in advance by telephone: 02871/ 29 49 33 0 or by e-mail at schmitt(at)bocholt-stadtmarketing(dot)de.
The event site is barrier-free. However, the ground is mostly grass.
A barrier-free WC is available.
EVERYTHING FOR FREE?
Correct! The Bocholter Aasee Festival is a "Umsonst & Draußen" festival that everyone can enjoy at no extra cost.
Of course, you should not forget that such an event is associated with high organisational and programme costs and it would be very fair to the caterers represented there if you did not have external catering, pizza service or similar delivered to the bathing bay. Your own food and drinks are ok, but every caterer will of course be delighted if you drop by their stand! :-)
