Support for music school lessons

In order to make music school lessons possible for all sections of the population, reductions are granted under certain conditions.

In addition to the automatically calculated family reduction for the participation of several siblings in music lessons and the multi-subject reduction, which is also automatically calculated, it is possible to apply for a social reduction.

For lessons at the music school, reductions of 12.5 - 90 per cent are possible upon presentation of proof (income or social benefit certificate, housing costs).

For participation in the JEKITS project, a social reduction is only possible if a social benefit certificate (housing benefit, SGB I and II, child benefit supplement, etc.) is presented. The reduction is then 100% for the social benefit period.

The use of funds from the education and participation package (Münsterlandkarte) is possible for all offers of the music school.

A written application with supporting documentation by the payer is required. The application must be submitted by the end of the year in which the reduction is to be granted. The most recent proof of income and housing costs must also be submitted by 31 December of the year, or by the end of the school year (JEKITS) in which the reduction is to be granted in the case of school year-related tuition.
