Suderwick district to become (even) more beautiful
Public participation for town centre development on Thursday, 19 September // Public town walk and planning workshop
The city of Bocholt has initiated the development of a town centre development concept (OKEK) for the Suderwick district to modernise its centre. On Thursday, 19 September, a public city walk will be held as part of the public participation process, followed by a planning workshop. Citizens are invited to take part and contribute ideas. The meeting is at 6 pm on the village square.
The planning concept envisages the redesign of Sporker Strasse, the village centre with village square, the square of the Protestant church and part of Wiggerstrasse. The main aims of the structural changes are to increase the quality of life and strengthen the village square, as well as to adapt the village centre in line with the "Centrumvisie", the concept for redesigning the neighbouring Dutch municipality of Dinxperlo.
In the meantime, the town planning office has drawn up an initial concept for the remodelling of Suderwick. Citizens are invited to participate in the planning process.
The town walk starts at 6 pm at the village square, followed by a planning workshop at 6.30 pm in the parish hall of the Protestant church in Suderwick (Johannes-Meis-Straße 2). Registration is not required.
