Renovation work on the bridges over the Aa
17-21 June Traffic restrictions on the ring road
From Monday, 17 June, renovation work will be carried out on the bridges over the Aa. This will affect the bridges on Meckenemstraße and Theodor-Heuss-Ring. Due to the necessary closures, traffic will be restricted in these areas.
The bridge work will be carried out in two construction phases. The first construction phase will last from Monday 17 June until Tuesday next week. The inner side of the city ring road will be closed in the area of both bridges.
The second construction phase will last from Thursday, 20 June until Friday next week. The outer side of the ring road will then be closed in the area of the bridges.
Road users will be made aware of the closures and the designated diversions route by means of information boards.
Appropriate arrangements have been made for the public viewing event on 19 June at Berliner Platz so that there will be no restrictions on the ring road on this day. Emergency services will be able to pass through the closures at any time.
The closures will only affect motor vehicle traffic. Pedestrian and cycle traffic can pass through the areas at any time.
