Support and exchange for family carers in Bocholt
Competence Day on 15 November in Bocholt // Register now until 4 November
The "Netzwerk Demenz Bocholt" invites family carers, professionals and members of the public interested in the topic to a skills day on Friday, 15 November. The event will take place in the event hall of Stadtsparkasse Bocholt (Neutorplatz 1) from 13:30 to 17:30. Admission is free, but registration is required by 4 November.
Conflicts in the care and nursing of people with dementia are common and can be stressful. The event aims to empower carers and show them specific offers of help.
Prof. Dr Rolf Dieter Hirsch, an expert in neurology and geriatrics, will speak about the forms, causes and consequences of conflicts in care and the role of humour. In addition, Dr Elisabeth Philipp-Metzen will talk about how carers can benefit from carers' self-help. In addition to the presentations, participants will receive information about local relief and support options. There will also be a break for a chat over coffee and cake.

Interested parties can register by 4 November by calling the City of Bocholt's senior citizens' office on 02871 / 953 2234 or by emailing seniorenbuero(at)bocholt(dot)de.
