Music school: Taster lessons for "early musical education"

In April, the Bocholt-Isselburg music school's new "early music education" courses begin. Children accompanied by their parents can take part in free taster lessons in the week from Saturday 27 January to Saturday 3 February at the music school in Bocholt and Isselburg and at various schools.

Early musical education

For children of kindergarten age (two years before starting school), the music school offers early musical education. With movement and dance, singing, speaking and elementary instrumental playing, the musicality of pre-school children is promoted, but also the creativity, self-confidence and personality of the children are strengthened. The programme is offered in Bocholt and Isselburg to enable children to attend early musical education close to home. The early music education programme is designed for four semesters.

Basic musical training

For those who cannot yet decide to learn an instrument after the early musical education programme, the basic musical education programme (for children in the first year of school) is the right choice. This programme is aimed at early education and primary school children who would like to spend a year learning music with songs, rhythmicals and body percussion. The former "early education children" learn the first steps of music theory and the beginnings on the recorder, so to speak a "basic musical education for advanced students".

Interested parents and children can get to know the programme and the premises during free taster sessions.
