Bocholters receive volunteer cards

It is a small token of appreciation for those who are committed to the city's society: The Bocholt volunteer card. On Wednesday evening, Bocholt residents were once again honoured with the card.

"It is a small token of appreciation for the work you do for others time and time again", said Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, who handed out the cards to the Bocholters together with Rainer Howestädt from the Bocholt Volunteer Agency and Christian Tewiele from the Volunteering, Senior Citizens, Care and Pensions division.

Michael Kirsebauer, head of the INTAKT dance school, hosted the event. His dance school is now also one of the organisations offering discounts to holders of the volunteer card. A list of participating businesses and organisations can be found online at www.bocholt.de/ehrenamt

After the official presentation, the volunteers had the opportunity to discuss their activities over a snack.
