FW Bocholt: Injured person in flat fire
Bocholt (ots) -
The fire and rescue services of the city of Bocholt were alerted to a flat fire in Speerstraße at 3.15 pm today.
There was a fire on a terrace and the smoke had spread into the flat. Neighbours had been alerted by the triggered home smoke alarm and had already brought the resident to safety before the arrival of the fire and rescue services and made initial attempts to extinguish the fire. A fire brigade unit, protected by breathing apparatus, finally extinguished the fire and cleared the flat of smoke.
The resident was treated by the rescue service and transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The Bocholt fire and rescue services were on site with a total of eleven firefighters and four vehicles.
