FW Bocholt: Branch removed from carriageway and smoke alarm triggers false alarm

Bocholt (ots) -

In the late evening hours at around 9:20 pm, concerned neighbours alerted the Bocholt fire brigade and reported a triggered smoke alarm in a mid-terrace house in Wichernstraße.
The fire brigade deployed with the fire engine and was able to quickly locate and deactivate the faulty smoke alarm.

Shortly beforehand, emergency services had already been working on Viktoriastrasse, removing a 30cm-thick branch from the carriageway.
The Bocholt fire brigade was in action for around an hour with a total of 10 firefighters.
