Fill up on sunshine! About the advantages of photovoltaics

What are the benefits of a photovoltaic system? How can homeowners utilise this technology? This will be the subject of a public lecture on Thursday, 14 November, which will focus on solar energy. It starts at 6 pm in the cafeteria at Benölkenplatz. Attendance is free of charge.

The event is part of the district-wide series of lectures on "Energetic Refurbishment" organised by the Borken Climate Circle, the District Craftsmen's Association and the City of Bocholt.

There is currently a great deal of uncertainty surrounding so-called "PV systems": What can the electricity grid do? How do homeowners get the system connected to the grid? Why are you not allowed to feed into the grid? Can e-cars only be charged if the municipal utilities allow it? Why do wallboxes and heat pumps have to be dimmable? - These are all questions that Ralf Sparwel receives.

In his presentation, the expert from the district craftsmen's association gives an overview of what is technically possible and why many things are not a problem. Sparwel also explains why the Energy Industry Act is beneficial for citizens and what needs to be considered when operating and purchasing new PV systems.

About the series of lectures organised by the Borken Climate Circle and the District Craftsmen's Association

On three dates in three towns in the district, citizens will receive information and tips from professionals. The speaker in each case will be Ralf Sparwel, head of the Ahaus plumbing, heating and air conditioning guild. He has been working as an energy consultant in the trade for over 20 years and has been planning and building heat pumps and photovoltaic (PV) systems for more than 30 years.

This is the third (and last) lecture in a series organised in cooperation with the Borken district, the district craftsmen's association and the city of Bocholt.
