Climate-friendly refurbishment: take advantage of subsidies now

On Monday, 9 September, information will be provided to the public on the topic of "climate-friendly renovation". A refurbishment expert will answer questions about technology and financial aid for home refurbishments. The event starts at 6 pm in the cafeteria of the comprehensive school in Bocholt (Rheinstraße 4). Registration is possible at klimaschutz(at)bocholt(dot)de.

Many building owners have questions about energy-efficient refurbishment. The city of Bocholt, Klimakreis Borken and Kreishandwerkerschaft Borken are offering a joint series of lectures to provide answers. Following the successful start in June, which focussed on heating, the second lecture will now follow.

Speaker Ralf Sparwel, head master of the sanitary, heating and air conditioning guild in Ahaus and experienced energy consultant, will provide tips and information on subsidies for building refurbishment. Under the title "The funding jungle for building refurbishment - what do I get for what?", Sparwel will explain the various funding programmes such as Bafa, KFW and BEG. He explains how special tax write-offs and loans with very low interest rates can be utilised. He also shows how up to 70 per cent funding is possible and what deadlines need to be observed.

Background: Climate Circle Borken

The Borken Climate Circle is the umbrella organisation for the network of 17 towns and municipalities with the Borken district. The committee meets monthly to coordinate current developments, initiate joint projects and promote dialogue. This is done in order to strengthen climate protection work across the district. The focus topic for 2024 is "Energetic refurbishment": The network has therefore set itself the task of informing, raising awareness and motivating homeowners to refurbish their buildings to make them more energy efficient. They should be able to maintain their property values, stay in their homes for a long time, increase energy efficiency and reduce their environmental impact.
