The special film: "Paris Paradise"
Light-footed French episodic film on Tuesday 12 November at 8 pm at the Kinodrom // Admission 6 euros or "Kulturpass"
On Tuesday, 12 November, the city of Bocholt is presenting "Paris Paradies", a "light-footed French episodic film" as part of the "The Special Film" series, starting at 8 pm in the Kinodrom. The film is a humorous confrontation with one's own finiteness - motto: Death can wait! In Paris, the city of love and lust for life, different people search for their way out of the crisis.
Among them is the former opera singer Giovanna. She is distraught: she was mistakenly declared dead and is still waiting to be honoured by the press. Stuntman Mike, on the other hand, defies death every day, while elderly lady Dolores doesn't care about the deadly dangers of smoking. On the grandchild's birthday, they make a God-fearing pact.
Marie-Cerise, a depressive girl, is kidnapped and unceremoniously turns her kidnapper into her therapist. TV presenter Edouard, although he has hosted a well-known crime programme for years, is overwhelmed by his own mortality.
Each of the characters has to come to terms with the subject of death in their own way.
Directed by Marjane Satrapi, the film lasts 109 minutes.
The city of Bocholt invites cinema fans and those interested in culture. Admission costs 6 euros, holders of the "Kulturpass" can watch the film free of charge.
Trailers and tickets are available at www.kinodrom.de.
