Mahin is 70 years old and lives alone in her native Tehran, Iran. Her husband has passed away and her daughter lives in Europe with her grandchildren. Over afternoon tea with her friends, they discuss the topic of a new romance. A spontaneous meeting in a restaurant quickly turns into a serious relationship. She spends many evenings together with the taxi driver and veteran Faramarz, where she breaks all the rules of the morality police.
The film was confiscated in Iran. The team was prevented from leaving the country and interrogated. The judgements are still pending. The film only made it to cinemas because a version was already outside Iran in a laboratory in Paris.
The film was directed by Maryam Moghadam. The film lasts 97 minutes. Trailer and tickets at www.kinodrom.de.
