Modern dance art in Bocholt: "Moving sculptures"
Interdisciplinary performance project on Saturday, 16 November, from 7 p.m. at "LernWerk" // Admission free
On Saturday, 16 November, the modern dance performance "Bewegte Skulpturen" will be performed in Bocholt's "LernWerk" (Industriestraße 1). The event combines dance and digital art to reinterpret identities in the field of tension between the digital and the analogue. It starts at 7 pm and admission is free.
The performance project addresses the questions: Who are we beyond traditional values and gender roles? How can we discover new forms of identity through digitalisation? Artists visualise these themes by projecting painted portraits of women onto dancers. The dancers react to this and their movements are filmed and projected again, creating a complex interplay of real and digital levels.
Two performances will be shown (7pm and 8.30pm), with talks with the artists in between.
The event is organised by the City of Bocholt's Department of Culture and Education. The theatre evening is sponsored by the Münsterland-wide project Stadt.Land.Bühne from the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Regional Culture Programme, the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association, the Münsterland Values Foundation and the Provinzial Cultural Foundation.
The Kunst- und Kulturgemeinschaft Bocholt (KuKuG) will be catering for your physical well-being.
