Lecture: "The enigma of dark matter - mysterious mass in the universe"

The Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre is offering a lecture entitled "Rätsel der Dunklen Materie - Geheimnisvolle Masse im Universum" on Tuesday, 12 November. Speaker Dr Philipp Heimann will take you on an exciting journey into the depths of the cosmos as he reveals the fascinating secret of "dark matter". The event will take place from 19:30 at the Bocholt Media Centre (Hindenburgstraße 5).
As a mysterious and invisible material, "dark matter" represents one of the greatest challenges in modern astrophysics. It influences the structure of the universe and the fate of galaxies and stars. Understanding it could be crucial to unravelling the nature of the universe itself.
Dr Philipp Heimann holds a doctorate in physics and is a full-time software developer. In popular science lectures, he brings his audiences closer to the fantastic world of physics in an entertaining way, which is so often remembered as dull and grey from school lessons. One subject area that has always fascinated him in particular is astrophysics
