Lecture: Away from gas and oil - towards heat pumps

Speaker describes switch to heat pumps for old buildings

The VHS Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg is offering a lecture on the current topic "Away from gas and oil - towards heat pumps" on Thursday, 19 October. The speaker, Gregor Berning, will focus on the switch to heat pumps in old buildings.

The development of energy prices is a constant topic in Germany. Many homeowners ask themselves, "Can I convert from gas or oil heating to a heat pump?

There are many "myths and legends" surrounding this topic. As so often in life, the answer is: yes, but. The fact is: in principle, any house can be equipped with a heat pump for heating and hot water. Nevertheless, a conversion in old buildings is not worthwhile in every case, but more often than you might think!

The lecture will look at various aspects: how a heat pump works, the different types of heat pumps, what to consider when converting and how to find out whether your house is suitable for a heat pump. Participants are cordially invited to a question and answer session afterwards.

The venue is the Media Centre Bocholt, Hindenburgstr. 5, starting at 7 pm. The fee is 6 euros (reduced rate 5 euros). Registration to reserve a seat is possible at www.vhs-bocholt.de. Further seats are available at the box office.
