"Christmas stroll" at the bulky waste exchange
Saturday, 23 November, at the recycling centre // Hand in well-preserved decorative items, toys and furniture to the ESB now // Contribution to sustainability
On Saturday, 23 November, the waste advisory service of the ESB waste disposal and service company invites you to the last bulky waste exchange for this year. From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, you can search for exciting finds at the recycling centre on Schaffeldstraße. The focus of the offer is on Christmas and winter items. Waste consultant Petra Tacke is hoping for lots of visitors in a buying mood.
Purpose of the bulky waste exchange
The main purpose of the bulky waste exchange is to reuse items in good condition and thus promote sustainability. Motto: The more things that can be reused, the less waste.
This time, all proceeds from the bulky waste exchange will go to the Bocholt Child Protection Association.
Making a contribution to reuse
Items in good condition can be handed in at the recycling centre to ensure the widest possible range of items. Children's toys, decorative items, small furniture and odds and ends are all suitable. "Christmas decorating begins in many households at the end of November, resulting in numerous decorative items that people no longer want to use. Far too good for the rubbish bin, as someone else may be looking for these Christmas tree decorations. With the bulky waste exchange, we are making an important contribution to reuse", says waste consultant Petra Tacke.
To ensure that the items handed in remain intact, they should be securely packed in a cardboard box and handed in at the recycling centre.
Voluntary help
Volunteers and the Kinderschutzbund (child protection organisation) support the ESB with the set-up and sale. The THW youth is also active on the day of the bulky waste exchange on 23 November as a steward and helps with the clean-up.
