Bulky waste exchange a complete success: 1,066 euros for Caritas' inpatient children's and youth centre

Next bulky waste exchange announced for September

The Caritas child and youth welfare organisation is delighted to have received a donation of 1,066 euros. The money comes from the last bulky waste exchange organised by the city of Bocholt.

Petra Tacke, waste consultant from the waste disposal and service company (ESB), has now handed over the proceeds from the bulky waste exchange to Carolin Röring, head of the inpatient help centre for children and young people at Caritas.

"I am pleased that the proceeds from the bulky waste exchange can make a small contribution to youth welfare in Bocholt", said waste consultant Tacke. Items that were previously accepted at the recycling centre were sold at the bulky waste exchange. "The majority were decorative items, toys and household items. This time we had a lot of pictures and books on offer. The visitors were very impressed by the extensive and colourful range."

Use for the children's and youth centre

The inpatient children's and youth centres run by Caritas offer 51 places and use the donations to buy new bicycles or hobby equipment such as sports equipment. Jessica Reuß from the children's and youth centre and three children actively and enthusiastically helped with the sale at the bulky waste exchange.

Next bulky waste exchange in September

The next bulky waste exchange will take place on Saturday, 28 September from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the ESB vehicle hall.
