Bulky waste exchange: 1,400 euros for the baby basket of the Social Service of Catholic Women

More than 1,400 euros were raised at the latest edition of the ESB bulky waste exchange. The money will go to the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen Bocholt (SkF), who want to use it to buy bags for first-time mothers.

Petra Tacke, waste consultant at the waste disposal and service company, is delighted with the great success of last Saturday's bulky waste exchange. By selling used items for a good cause, it was possible to do something good twice over. The re-use of the items contributes to sustainability and the proceeds go to the baby basket of the Catholic Women's Social Service.

With the proceeds from the bulky waste exchange, the SkF procures bags with first-time kits for expectant mothers. The bag contains everything you need in the first few days with a newborn, such as a bath towel, a blanket and first-time underwear. Anne Bollrath-Koltermann

"I am pleased that the proceeds from the bulky waste exchange can make a small contribution to supporting expectant mothers", says waste consultant Petra Tacke. The money was raised for a good cause at the last bulky waste exchange on 28 September. Items that had previously been accepted at the recycling centre were sold at the bulky waste exchange. Most of the items were decorative items, toys and household items. This time we had a lot of pictures and books on offer. The visitors were very impressed by the extensive and colourful range", adds Petra Tacke
