28th Bocholt Wine Festival from 26 - 28 July
The Bocholt Wine Festival, which takes place from 26 to 28 July , is a firm fixture in the diaries of many Bocholters and their guests. For the 28th time, seven winegrowers from the Palatinate come to Bocholt and transform St.-Georg-Platz into a small wine village over these three days. Palatinate wines and other specialities can be enjoyed and tasted in a wine-loving atmosphere with a colourful music programme. The traditional Palatinate tarte flambée is also on offer.
The programme
On Friday, 26 July, the wine festival will be opened at 5 pm by Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, Wine Queen Sabrina I and Ludger Dieckhues from Stadt- marketing Bocholt. The Sporker Musikanten will provide the atmosphere that evening.
On Saturday, 27 July, the wine festival will be open from 12 noon. McKing will provide the party atmosphere from 5.00 pm.
On Sunday, 28 July, the wine festival will also open its doors from 12 noon. On this last day of the wine festival, the duo 'Quite Relaxed' will provide the background music from 2.30 pm.
Election of the Bocholt Wine Queen on Sunday
A highlight of the Bocholt Wine Festival is the coronation of the Wine Queen. Participation forms will be available at all wine stands during the wine festival until late in the evening on Saturday, 28 July. You can also fill in the questionnaire online during the wine festival weekend. "We hope for a lively participation - the prize is definitely something for wine lovers: a weekend in the Palatinate, a crate of wine donated by the Palatinate winegrowers, a Bocholt city ring from Juwelier Hermeier and two tickets for the BOUNCE concert at the Bahia on 07.09." according to city marketing employee Anna Schmitz, who is organising the wine festival.
The new Bocholt Wine Queen 2024 will be presented and crowned on Sunday, 28 July at 6 p.m. on St.-Georg-Platz.
