Book flea market in the Bocholt city library

At the beginning of the autumn holidays, a book flea market will once again be held in the entrance hall of the library

From 15 to 26 October, the city library will once again be holding a book flea market in its entrance hall. During the library's opening hours, anyone interested can browse and take media treasures with them for a donation. This year, the proceeds will go to the Edith Stein Hospice in Bocholt.

During the autumn holidays, bookworms on a treasure hunt will once again have a reason to rejoice: Bocholt City Library is once again holding a book flea market for the entire two weeks of the holidays. Always endeavouring to keep up to date, the library staff regularly maintain the stock. As a result, a lot of well-preserved books, DVDs etc. have been collected, which the team at the city library would now like to offer to all citizens. Anyone who is interested can browse in the entrance hall to their heart's content and take any discarded media for a donation.

Giving books a new home and doing good at the same time

"The book market is constantly changing, which is why we have to part with some of our media from time to time. However, as much of it is still in very good condition, we are of course delighted when some of the books, DVDs etc. find a new home and we can do something good with the proceeds at the same time", says Melanie Tenhumberg, Head of the City Library. This time, the flea market will offer novels of various genres, non-fiction books on topics such as "craft and business", but also "travelling and garden design", as well as a variety of children's books and young adult novels.

Media for donation

The book flea market is open from 15 to 26 October during the opening hours of the city library. Visitors can browse in the entrance hall and select media for a donation of their choice. The donation can be handed in at the library's circulation desk. This year, the proceeds will go to Edith Stein Hospiz Bocholt GmbH.
