The city library invites children and young people to various events and workshops during the autumn holidays from 14 to 25 October. The colourful holiday programme offers craft afternoons, an autumn cinema and a jungle excursion with nature educator "Masi". In addition to the open gaming offer, gamers will have the opportunity to take part in the jury for the TOMMi children's software prize this year.
The city library has once again put together a colourful programme for the 2024 autumn holidays to make the time off from school a little more colourful. In addition to the popular craft afternoons, this year's programme also includes an autumn cinema event. The team is particularly looking forward to a visit from nature educator "Masi", who will provide an animalistic insight into the world of insects, snakes and reptiles. "Together with the JUNGE UNI in Bocholt, we are really looking forward to offering the children an excursion that has definitely never been done before in the city library. We are literally excited about it", says Claudia Alders from the children's and youth department of the city library.
Highlight for gaming enthusiasts to kick off the programme
This year's holiday programme kicks off with the TOMMi children's software prize, which has been judged by a jury of children and young people for over 20 years for digital games and educational offers in around 50 libraries in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. At Bocholt City Library on 14 October, anyone interested will have the opportunity to become part of this jury and try out apps from various areas. Information on the rest of the programme can be found on the city library's website.
