Music School Bocholt-Isselburg

Welcome to the world of music: children, young people and adults are taught at the music school. No matter whether you are a beginner or an advanced musician - the music school has interesting offers for every group.

Subjects at the music school

Early musical education

The Bocholt Isselburg Music School offers "Early Musical Education" for children of kindergarten age. With movement and dance, singing, speaking and elementary instrumental playing, the musicality of pre-school children is encouraged, and the children's creativity, self-confidence and personality are strengthened.

Basic musical education

The "Basic Musical Education" programme is aimed at former early education and primary school children who would like to spend a year learning music in general with songs, rhythmicals and body percussion. The former early education children learn the first steps of music theory and the beginnings of the recorder - a "basic musical education for advanced students", so to speak.

Interested parents and children can get to know the programme without obligation during free taster lessons.

Instrumental lessons

The music school offers group or individual lessons on almost all instruments.

  • String instruments (guitar, electric guitar, electric bass)
  • Keyboard instruments (piano, accordion, keyboard)
  • String instruments (violin, viola, violoncello, double bass)
  • Woodwind instruments (recorder, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone)
  • Brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, horn, tenor horn, baritone, euphonium, tuba)
  • Percussion instruments (drums)
  • Vocal subjects (singing, including with piano accompaniment)
  • Theory (preparatory music theory and aural training, jazz theory, accompaniment)
  • Other (chamber music, competition preparation)

Ensemble, orchestra, choirs

Making music together with others is much more fun. After just a short period of lessons, anyone can join one of our ensembles, orchestras or bands. Singers are always welcome in our choirs or in our singing workshop.

Special education

In close cooperation with the Bocholt day-care centre Rosengarten, the music school offers elementary lessons for children with disabilities.

Projects

With an abundance of projects, the music school responds to needs that are not covered by its programme. The palette ranges from rock projects to offers for kindergartens and events for special target groups.

Parents' and Sponsors' Association of the Music School Bocholt e.V.

Parents and interested people voluntarily form the "Eltern- und Förderkreis Musikschule Bocholt e.V.".

Thanks to this private commitment, many projects and events have already been realised that would not have been feasible with the public funds of the music school, including the promotion of musical talents, the purchase and maintenance of musical material, the promotion of events, concert tours and public relations work.

The support group is the contact body for pupils, teachers and parents. It represents the music school's interests on a political and social level.
