Bocholt Health Days 8-15 June 2024

The "Neighbourhood Development in Bocholt" programme is there to support local people and at the same time ensure that the neighbourhood develops positively.

This also includes strengthening local health promotion. In addition to meetings and community offers, many health offers are already taking place in the neighbourhoods.

The activities and campaigns of the Bocholt Health Days are aimed at all Bocholt residents.

Participation in the activities is free of charge, but prior registration is required for some of the programmes.

"Waffle Journey - Wonder Waffle"

We would like to invite you to our nutrition workshop, where we will teach you about healthy eating in a practical way using the food pyramid. Together we will prepare a classic waffle for the sweet tooth with strawberries and a savoury courgette waffle with herb dip.

Info evening on mental illness

Melanie Klosowski from the Lower Rhine/Wesel Education Centre will inform those affected, relatives and interested parties about the symptoms of common mental disorders and give tips on how to deal with them. Participants can also ask questions and Mareen Bißlich from the Social Psychiatric Service of the Borken district will provide information on contact points for relatives and those affected.

The "Quartiersrallye 2024" for prospective schoolchildren, first and second graders and their families will take place around VFL 45 Bocholt in Hochfeld. Local players will be offering games of movement and skill at various stations.

Herb hike with tasting

Together we set off to the Mosse and collect various wild herbs. Mariefa Ally, wild herb and medicinal plant educator, will provide interesting details about the different plants. Afterwards, we will make nettle soup and wild herb pralines together for a delicious lunch. Please bring weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes for the day, and don't forget sun and tick protection.
