International Family Festival at the LWL Museum Textilwerk
The International Family Festival in the museum courtyard of the LWL Museum Textilwerk on Uhlandstraße is a festival for young and old every year. It is organised by the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL), the Integration Council and the City of Bocholt.
Diversely championing the European idea
The Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Head of the State Chancellery, Nathanael Liminski, has called on people to take part in the state's Europe Cheques initiative.
It focuses in particular on civil society involvement in Europe and supports projects that promote the European idea and strengthen the European spirit in North Rhine-Westphalia in a variety of ways. The large international LWL family festival is also part of the programme.
"Last year we were able to impress the more than 5,000 visitors with a great stage programme and lots of hands-on activities at the stands of the various cultural associations and organisations, and we definitely want to do that again this year", says Martin Schmidt from the LWL.
"I am delighted that we have once again succeeded in giving a total of over 20 cultural associations and organisations the opportunity to present their activities to a broad audience on this day", says Schmidt.
