As a singer, pianist, arranger and bandleader, Udo Hotten has put together a concert programme that reflects the wide-ranging repertoire of Udo Jürgens. The interplay between profound lyrics and moving melodies and arrangements, performed with an expressive voice, still carries people away today when Udo Hotten interprets Jürgens' songs under the motto "Udo sings Udo". Even in his youth, Udo Hotten made a name for himself as a band leader and director of a vocal ensemble. He later made music his profession. As leader of the Florian Singers, he had the great pleasure of performing with Chris de Burgh in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle in 1995. He later studied music in Enschede. Hotten, who is said to sound like the original with his eyes closed, will present his programme on 17 March together with other professional musicians and his backing choir in the Alte Molkerei.
