MON MARI ET MOI were already guests at the Alte Molkerei in September 2023 and touched the audience.
Which pigeonhole could fit? They're not silly enough for musical cabaret, and there's definitely too much laughter at their concerts for the singer-songwriter genre. Perhaps the very latest German wave without electronics?
Either way, the likelihood of feeling better after a MON MARI ET MOI concert than before is very high.
Shakti (vocals, sometimes also pianica and autoharp) & Mathias (guitar, vocals and other effects) play songs that offer a little escape from everyday life. Unconventional songs, sometimes a bit Dada, held together by whimsical stories. Stories about the right pink, good-mood spreaders, girls with provincial earrings, the highlight of the week, chocolate ice-cream or dancefloor edge sitters.
Anyone in the mood for a nice evening can feel wonderfully at home at a MON MARI ET MOI concert.

By the way: because they live near the French border, have a French surname and "MON MARI ET MOI" definitely sounds better than "my husband and I", Shakti's grandmother came up with this name. Their songs are all in German, however, because they no longer speak any French and would first have to take a course again. That's not possible at the moment because they perform somewhere in Germany every week.
