Martin Palmeri Misatango

The concert consists of two parts. It begins with the wonderful Adagio For Strings, played by the Movimento string orchestra. This is followed by three spirituals sung by the Madrigal Choir. In the second part you will hear the main part, the Argentinian mass Misatango by Martin Palmeri. This work is an exciting mixture of Argentine tango and the text of the Latin mass. The choir will be accompanied by the Movimento string orchestra, pianist Jay Wang, Andrea Knefelkamp-West on accordion and Sandra Gerlach, mezzo-soprano. As always, Rainer Maria Klaas will be the overall conductor.
