When rock and blues have arrived in the here and now, a lot is allowed and even more is possible. It is precisely this freedom that the young man with entertainer qualities, who goes by the name Edy Edwards, uses wherever he can.
The roots of rock, blues and Americana are omnipresent and clearly audible. His early musical upbringing shaped him, from Robert Johnson to John Lee Hooker, the Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin - and they have left their mark. Coupled with modern influences from pop to electronic music, Edy has cultivated his own style.

The lyrics are sometimes flowery and bitter, then again cheeky and straightforward, but always right from the heart of life. Just like Edy himself - difficult to classify and surprising. After working almost exclusively with studied professional musicians (Ian Stewart, Henning Leise, Daniel McLaine, Karl Overman) for this album, he has assembled a new band in the course of working on the follow-up album "KAUF" (release 2019). Dale Lohse sits on the drums of the power trio and Dennis Kazakis takes over the position on the bass. This rhythm section impressively demonstrates that the exclamation "this grooves like hell" is also justified here in Germany.
