> "a voyage" is a poetic sound journey, a moving listening experience & a cinematic classical guitar-electronica trip. Classical music, ethnic music and urban sounds take you from the colourful hustle and bustle of London's Picadilly Circus to the tranquil lake in Provence, the beach in Sardinia, the jazz club in New Orleans and the distant Orient. Short snippets of sound or guitar sequences recorded with the microphone are transformed into multi-layered and unique sounds and grooves live and in a matter of seconds with the looper. The musician from the Ruhr region transforms himself into a complex one-man ensemble of classical guitar, percussion and live or programmed loops, only to enchant the listener a few moments later with the pure natural sound of the nylon guitar. "a voyage" promises a concert experience beyond the boundaries of conventional musical pigeonholes.

> "The new album by guitarist, composer and sound inventor Jürgen Saalmann places the concert guitar in a different context: the musician has tastefully and skilfully interwoven the sound of nature with synthetic sounds, samples and beats. The result is a work of world music that harmonises styles and sounds in an ingenious way. ... an all-round successful work." (Acoustic Guitar Magazine)

> "An interesting blend of acoustic guitar music, folky melodies, hip beats and atmospheric soundscapes. Just right for the wanderlust cinema in your head. Guitarist Jürgen Saalmann contrasts modern and traditional, acoustic and electronic, concrete and ambient in a highly musical way. (Folker)
