Thimo Niesterok (trumpet), Jerry Lu (piano), Henning Gailing (bass), Mathieu Clement (drums)

The trumpeter Thimo Niesterok, who comes from Lake Constance, has been living in Cologne since 2015 and intensively studied the swinging roots of jazz music during his studies in Cologne. Compared to many of his colleagues of the same age, you can hear the tradition of this music in every single note. One of his greatest idols is the legendary Clarke Terry, but there are also echoes of Harry Sweets Edison, Ruby Braaf or Charlie Shavers.

He has toured in Sweden, India, South Korea (as part of the 2018 Winter Olympics) and to Japan for the Kobe Jazz Street Festival as a Kobe Jazz Street Award winner, among others. Niesterok's musical focus stylistically lies between traditional jazz to swing to bebop and hardbop 2017 saw the release of his first album "First Clambake". In 2019, the album "Two Talkin' Horns" followed together with trombone legend Dan Barrett (USA).

Niesterock is accompanied by a trio led by piano shooting star Jerry Lu, Luxembourg drummer Mathieu Clement and double bassist Henning Gailing.
