Explore Bocholt and the surrounding area by bike

New, cross-border, public cycle tour with guide

A guided cycle tour around Bocholt is a wonderful way to explore the region by bike and learn more about its history, culture and beautiful landscape.

The cycle tour takes you into the border region of western Münsterland and the Dutch Achterhoek. A local guide provides interesting information and stories about the border town of Bocholt.

The tour starts with your own bike at the LWL-Museum Textilwerk, where participants gain an insight into the history of Bocholt and the development of the textile town.
The tour continues by bike along paved cycle paths and quiet lanes, past meadows, fields, farms and churches that reflect the picturesque landscape of the Münsterland.

After crossing the "green border", the Achterhoek border region is explored on Dutch cycle paths, the "Fietspaden". After a break, the group sets off on the return journey.
The cycle tour ends after about five hours and around 50 kilometres at the car park of the LWL-Museum Textilwerk on Uhlandstraße.

Participation is at your own risk. Wearing a cycle helmet is recommended. You should bring your own drinks and snacks.
Registration is essential due to the limited number of participants.
