"ANSELM" - The special film
Impressive artist portrait of Anselm Kiefer by Wim Wenders // Kinodrom // 6 euros // Culture pass possible
In Anselm, Wim Wenders paints a portrait of one of the most important visual artists of our time: Anselm Kiefer. Shot in 6K resolution, the film allows its audience to take a cinematic journey through the work of an artist whose art explores human existence and the cyclical nature of history, inspired by literature and poetry, history, philosophy, science, mythology and religion. For more than two years, Wenders followed in Kiefer's footsteps, linking in his film the stations in his life and places of creation of a career spanning more than five decades between Kiefer's native Germany and France, his current creative centre.
93 minutes, directed by Wim Wenders

About the special film campaign
The film series "KINO Bocholt - der besondere Film" has existed since 1977 as a cooperation between the Department of Education and Culture and the Kinodrom Bocholt. The aim is to present unusual films - which would otherwise not be shown in Bocholt - to an interested audience of all ages at a reasonable price. As a rule, selected films are shown every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
