The New Zealand alto saxophonist Hayden Chisholm is a true globetrotter. He studied in Switzerland, Greece, India, Yugoslavia, Japan and finally in Cologne. With his sound reminiscent of the cool jazz of the 1950s, which was influenced by artists such as Lee Konitz and Paul Desmond, Chisholm enchants every audience and casts an irresistible spell over them. An absolutely exceptional artist.
Pianist Thomas Rückert, Henning Gailing on double bass and Mathieu Clement, a great young drummer from Luxembourg, complete the quartet.
