Siegbert Börger with ESB for 40 years

Siegbert Börger from Bocholt is now celebrating 40 years of service. At the municipal waste disposal and service company in Bocholt (ESB), he ensures that the city's sewers are kept in good condition.

The 57-year-old began his career at the age of 17 with the city of Bocholt with an apprenticeship as a road warden. He later moved to the ESB's sewer operations department, where he is now responsible for maintaining Bocholt's approx. 460 km long sewer network. Börger uses a specialised vehicle that costs almost half a million euros and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Siegbert Börger is held in high esteem by the Bocholt community and his colleagues due to his helpfulness and likeable nature.
