"The Bremen Town Musicians" are coming to Bocholt
Bocholt Puppetry Days on Sunday, 12 January, at the "Alte Molkerei" cultural venue // Two performances
On Sunday, 12 January, the puppet show "The Bremen Town Musicians" will be performed at the cultural venue "Alte Molkerei" (Werther Straße 16). Children aged four and over can look forward to this beautiful and well-known fairy tale.
There will be two performances, the first at 2 pm and the second at 4 pm. The puppet show will be performed by Lille Kartofler Figurentheater from Langenfeld. Ticket bookings and further information are available at www.bocholt.de/puppenspieltage.

The puppet show is about an old man who is dejectedly holding his notice in his hand - the puppet theatre has fired him. He is no longer needed, he is too old and immobile. To say goodbye, he gives free rein to his disappointment and hits the dusty prop sacks once again. But suddenly the donkey, the cat, the dog and the cockerel come to life.
The animals convince the man to perform the Bremen Town Musicians one last time. Motivated, he begins to dig out the old props and the puppet show takes its course: the donkey is no longer needed as he can no longer carry a load and is chased away. The dog is too old and weak to hunt any more, the cat is driven away because it no longer catches mice, and the rooster, which is to be slaughtered, also loses its place.
The four animals, who have been rejected by their previous owners, meet up and decide to take their fate into their own hands. Together they set off for Bremen to start a new life as town musicians...
