Kindergarten year 2025/2026: Register children now

Registration interviews are currently taking place at the daycare centres for the 2025/2026 kindergarten year. Until 21 November 2024, parents who wish to take up a childcare place for their children from 1 August 2025 have the opportunity to pre-register their child online in one of Bocholt's 40 daycare centres in the "Kita-Portal Bocholt".

From the start of the autumn holidays, parents will also have the opportunity to register their child for daycare online in the "Kita-PortalBocholt" for the first time.

After successful online registration, the daycare facilities must be contacted by 21 November 2024 at the latest so that the child can be placed on the waiting list. The youth welfare office of the city of Bocholt points this out. Only children on the waiting list can be considered for the allocation of places. If parents have already made an online reservation in the Kita-Portal, they can view the status under the tab "Vormerkungen" in their user account.

In December, the registrations received and capacities are compared. From January, parents will be informed by the daycare centres about the allocation of places.

Information on the parental contribution

The city of Bocholt draws your attention to the new parental contribution statutes (in force since 01.08.2023). With the new parental contribution statutes, the dynamic adjustment of the contributions and income groups according to the collectively agreed salary and inflation development has been decided. Accordingly, the dynamic parental contribution regulation means that the parental contributions will increase from 1 August 2025 in line with the annual update rate. On the other hand, the amounts of the income groups will also be increased by the rate of increase of the last three years for the kindergarten year 2025/26. The so-called update rate is published by the state of NRW at the end of the year, so that the final parental contribution table will be published as soon as possible after the announcement of the state-wide update rate for the next kindergarten year.
